We are privileged to live and work in one of the most beautiful parts of the United Kingdom, our factory is situated on the shores of the Firth of Clyde, with views to the inner islands to the west and to the highlands looking north. This helps to ensure our focus on the environment never slips.

Blairs is committed to a policy of protecting the environment by adopting quality procedures and controls within our manufacturing facility.

Timber Management: Blairs only purchases timber from established suppliers with a formal Environmental Policy and verification of the source of their timber products.

Waste and Recycling: The system used for the heating of our factory and offices is based on the recycling of all wood waste, sawdust, shavings and off-cuts, and no back up fuels are required. The plant is fully automatic including the control of smoke emissions to the atmosphere. At Blairs we employ modern manufacturing techniques, to ensure the minimisation of waste and scrap. Waste products are disposed of in partnership with licensed operators and in strict compliance with the highest standards of legislation and regulation.

Employee Well Being: Blairs has a commitment to protect and improve the well being of all employees and to comply with Health and Safety at Work Legislation. Key elements of this include: Risk Assessment, Health & Safety Training,No Smoking Policy and employee support programmes.
