SECURED BY DESIGN
Secured By Design is a national crime prevention initiative to ensure products are designed with enhanced security measures. To be awared a Secured By Design licence, a window or door must have passed stringent security testing at an approved UKAS testhouse. This means that the whole window or door must conform, not just the ironmongery or fittings. A window or door cannot be sold as a Secured By Design Product unless it has the requisite, up to date licence from ACPO. For more about Secured By Design click here.
Blairs are an accredited Secured By Design company.
The Blairs Secured By Design range of windows have been tested to meet BS7950:1997 - the specification for Enhanced Security Performance of Casement and Tilt/Turn Windows for Domestic Applications, by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) which is a UKAS accredited testing house.
The new Vortex Tilt and Turn window and door range is certified Secured by Design as standard.
Our single leaf doorsets are also available as Secured by Design if required.
The following Enhanced Casement windows are available from Blairs as Secured by Design as an option.
